Beijing 798 Cultural and Creative Industry Investment Co., Ltd. (798 Culture Company) and the Picasso Museum of Art in Paris, Alberto and Annette Giacometti Foundation Launched the 798CUBE five-year cooperation project.
In 5 years, the collaborated team will hold 10 different kinds of art exhibitions and conduct academic conferences, public education, art restoration, audience development and training course of managers in public cultural venues, which aim to promote the cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and France.
The 798CUBE Art Center will be located in the core area of the 798 Art Zone in Beijing. The art center will cover an area of 3,600 square meters, including two main exhibition halls with constant temperature and humidity, a semi-open box house, a multi-functional lecture hall and a children’s artistic exploration space with a strong sense of design, and art stores and restaurants. The 798CUBE project wants to create a new international cultural communication model.
Wang Yanxi, the chairman of 798 Culture Company, said that “798 has always wanted to be the most dynamic art and cultural center in the world. This project is one of the most important content construction, and it will definitely deepen the communication in art and culture area between China and France. I hope that the project can spread to more other cities to promote the development of the cultural and creative industry.”
